KASK is revolutionizing the world of cycling with the launch of the Elemento. It is ahelmet that cuts no corners, and an array of cutting-edge technologies have beenapplied to ensure it delivers the very best in aerodynamics, ventilation and safety. The Elemento is aimed at elite athletes competing in the world’s best road, cross-country, cyclocross, and gravel events, as well as cyclists who are driven by thequest for ultimate performance.
The origins of the helmet date back to 2020 when KASK conducted an in-depth analysis of numerousscientific studies focused on how athletes’ performances varied as their body temperatures changed. The studies concluded that, in performance terms, an athlete's thermal comfort is just as important asa helmet’s weight and aerodynamics.KASK immediately began working with INEOS Grenadiers on the Elemento-developing aninnovative and ground-breaking helmet which is not only super aerodynamic, but also offers highlevels of safety and ventilation.
Fluid Carbon 12is a composite technopolymer that is capable of absorbing more energy from animpact than traditional materials, and then able to distribute that force more evenly across the helmet. This capability has enabled KASK's technicians to increase the size of the Elemento’s internalchannels, improving ventilation whilst simultaneously reducing the size of the ventilation holes, thusalso improving aerodynamics.
Multipod is a KASK-designed structure that is 3D-printed and used in the Elemento’s internalpadding. This elastomer material was conceived as a direct result of KASK’s Rotational Impact WG11Test-an internal testing protocol that has enabled KASK to improve the performance and safety of its cycling helmets when subjected to different types of impact.
Indeed, Multipod enables the helmet to better withstand linear and rotational impacts, and also hasisotropic properties which ensure it behaves consistently, no matter which direction the force isapplied. These properties have helped the Elemento receive a five-starreview from Virginia Tech'shighly authoritative test which measures the performance of helmets subjected to linear and rotationalimpacts.
Last but not least, the Multipod’s unique design also greatly improves ventilation, thusincreasing the Elemento’sthermoregulation capabilities.
Other technologies included in the Elemento include OCTOFIT+, the new helmet adjustment systemthat provides greater comfort and stability, and the “Pro” chinstrap, which is the same ultra-lightweightchinstrap used by INEOS Grenadiers.
The Elemento also features a reflective graphic on the back to increase rider visibility, and merinowool internal padding is used in addition to Multipod, guaranteeing unprecedented comfort and thermoregulation.
The MIT Technology, applied to KASK cycling helments, guarantees a higher safety and a complete protection thanks to the polycarbonate layer that covers the shell on the top, on the base ring and on the back.
An isotropic material that allows better managementof rotational impact energy and increases ventilation. It behaves in the same way when a force is applied toit from any direction and it can reduce the shear stress between the head and the inside of the helmet.
A new composite material that allows to reduces the thickness of EPS from the inner shell, in order to improve ventilation and aerodynamics. It also generates a better energy distribution in case of an impact and guarantees a low friction surface between the helmet and the impact surface.
The new overinjected rubber dial providesimproved finger grip. The vertical stabiliser hasbeen redesigned for greater stability providinga customised fit for riders with longer hair. Theergonomic neck support ensures a fast and secure fit against the back of the head.
Incredibly aerodynamic and top performing shell, tested in the wind-tunnel and able to provide a reallyimpressive CX rate. Any position the head will assumethe outflow of the air will be perfectly in line with the helmet.
Structure and design of the shell implement the air flow and break up the exchangeable heat.
High visibility stickers for maximum safety even in poor visibility conditions.
Made in the fine merino wool and polyamide yarn, light and opaque, with excellent thermoregulation property.
